World No Tobacco Day

Stop Tobacco Around the World

Next World No Tobacco Day: May 31, 2016

Take a stand for yourself and everyone around you against smoking, dipping and all the other addictive ways of using tobacco with World No Tobacco Day (WNTD). Held annually on May 31st, WNTD takes up a different cause every year related to stopping the harmful effects of tobacco dead in their tracks.

The themes of WNTD cover everything from how tobacco is marketed, to ways tobacco is used, to how it appears in our culture. Previous years have had themes like “Growing Up without Tobacco”, “Tobacco Free Film, Tobacco Free Fashion,” and “Tobacco Health Warnings”.

For 2016, WNTD is themed “Get Ready for Plain Packaging”, and will advocate for making tobacco product packaging less attractive and more focused on health warnings.
